1.   LAYING OF REPORTS OF THE AUDITOR GENERAL OF ON THE ACCOUNTS OF GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB FOR THE YEAR 2003-2004

 

 

            A MINISTER to lay the Report of the Auditor General of on the Accounts of Government of the Punjab for the year 2003-2004.

 

 

2.   LAYING OF ANNUAL REPORT OF THE PUNJAB PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION FOR THE YEAR 2004

 

 

            A MINISTER to lay the Annual Report of the Punjab Public Service Commission for the year 2004.

Ch. Muhammad Afzal Sahi, Speaker, assumed the chair and proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran.

 

QUESTION HOUR:-

Questions relating to Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Departments were asked and answers were given respectively by Syed Raza Ali Gillani, Minister for Housing, Urban Development Department and Gp. Capt (Ret) Mushtaq Ahmed Kiani, Minister for Public Health Engineering Department.

 

OATH TAKING:-

MR. Naveed Ashiq Dayal member elect from PP-157 in the bye election held on 30-9-06 made oath before the Assembly.

 

PRIVILEGE MOTIONS:-

Two Privilege Motions moved by Mr. Muhammad Ajasam Shariff and Malik Asghar Ali Qaiser were kept pended till 12-10-2006 and 9-10-2006 respectively.

 

ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS:-

Six Adjournment Motions were taken up. Out of which Adjournment Motion moved out of turn by Arshad Mehmood Baggu was kept pending.

Adjournment Motion moved by Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas regarding murder of 30 years old woman by two armed dacoits at GakharMandi was answered by Mr. Mohammad Basharat Raja Minister for Law and parliamentary Affairs and was disposed of.

Adjournment Motion moved by Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar was about supply of drinking water to the residents of Haroonabad. The motion was replied by Gp Capt (Retd) Mushtaq Ahmed Kiani, Minister for Public Health Engineering and was disposed of.

 Adjournment Motion moved by Ms Azma Zahid Bokhari was about torture of Mst Musarat accused in a murder case in police custody arrested by the Shahdara investigation police. The motion was answered by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and was disposed of.

Haji Muhammad Ejaz moved Adjournment Motion about the injuring of 3 years old Khadija caused due to kite flying string at Allama Iqbal road and later her death at services hospital due to irresponsible attitude of its staff. The motion was answered by Minister for Health, Dr Tahir Ali Javed and was disposed of. Another Adjournment Motion was moved by Sheikh Alla-ud-Din about construction of high rising plazas in Lahore and the conversion of residential areas into commercial areas in violation of international standards. The motion was answered by Minister for Housing, Urban Development Syed Raza Ali Gillani and was disposed of.  

 

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-

 

LAYING OF COMMITTEE REPORTS:-

                                     I.      Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal, Minister for Food laid the report of the Auditor General of Pakistan on the Accounts of Government of the Punjab for the year 2003-04 which was referred to Public Accounts Committee II (PACII) to report on it within a year.

                                  II.      Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal, Minister for food laid the Annual Report of the Punjab Public Service Commission for the year 2004.

 

The House was then adjourned till 10.00 am on Monday, 9 October, 2006.
