Ch. Muhammad Afzal Sahi, Speaker, assumed the chair and proceedings Commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran.

QUESTION HOUR:-

Questions relating to AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT were asked and answers were given by Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Muhammad Arshad Khan Lodhi.

CALL ATTENTION NOTICES:-

The Call Attention Notice moved by Lala Shakeel-ur-Rehman regarding newspaper news concerning kidnapping and killing of three and half years old child resident of Nain Sukh Ferozwala. The notice was replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs. Call attention motion moved by Haji Muhammad Ejaz was disposed of as the mover was not present.

At this stage the Deputy Speaker occupied the chair.

 PRIVILEGE MOTIONS:-

Total five Privilege Motions were moved. The Privilege Motions moved by Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar regarding misconduct of police with the member Provincial Assembly on 13.3.2007, during their protest march on the Mall road from Assembly building to Lahore High Court and by Mr. Abdul Rashid Bhatti concerning misbehavior of Gymkhana security guard for not allowing him enter into premises as he was wearing traditional Punjabi dress of “Chaddar and Pagri”, were kept pending for reply by the Minister concerned.  

Similarly the Privilege motion moved by Mr. Ishtiaq Ahmed Mirza about police raid on his office, and privilege motion moved by Rana Sanaullah Khan against a press statement of Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs were also kept pending for reply by the Minister concerned. The Privilege motion moved by Mr.Ashraf Sohna MPA (Okara), assort his illegal arrest on 13-3-07 was also kept pending for reply by the Minister concerned.  

ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS:-

Two Adjournment Motions were taken up. Both Adjournment Motions were moved by Sheikh Alla-ud-Din. The Adjournment Motion regarding vulgarity in the stage dramas and other adjournment Motion regarding child labour were answered and were disposed off. 

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-

THE DISPOSAL OF LAND BY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITIES (REGULATION) (AMENDMENT) BILL 2007 (Bill No.7 of 2007)

Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved THE DISPOSAL OF LAND BY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITIES (REGULATION) (AMENDMENT) BILL 2007 which was referred to the Standing Committee on Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering for report by 30.4.2007.

At this stage, the sitting was suspended for five minutes for lack of quorum Pointed out by parliamentary secretary for parliamentary affairs and after that the House was adjourned. Later the Session of the Assembly was prorogued by the Speaker vide order dated 29.3.2007.
