Ch. Muhammad Afzal Sahi, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with the recitation from he Holy Quran.
Point of Order:-
On Point of Order Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas and Mr. Arshad Mehmood Baggu drew the attention of the House towards aerial attacks by NATO forces on Pakistani territory Waziristan. Mr. Speaker stated that being a Federal subject matter can not be discussed This House.
The opposition staged a token walkout in protest.
PRIVILEGE MOTION:-
Three Privilege Motions were taken up, out of which two Privilege Motions, of Mian Iftikhar Hussain Chhachhar and Sh. Ijaz Ahmad, were kept pending till 26 June, 2007.
Privilege Motion moved by, Malik Muhammad Asif Bha, Parliamentary Secretary for Bait-ul-Maal regarding the registration of a fake case under 7-ATA against him and his 500 supporters by DSP Khushab and SHO Jauharabad, was admitted and referred to Committee on Privileges.
GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-
The Punjab Finance Bill 2007 (Bill No.15 of 2007) moved by Sardar Hasnain Bahadar Dreshak, Minister for Finance was passed by the House.
LAYING OF THE SCHEDULE OF AUTHORIZED EXPENDITURE FOR THE YEAR 2007-08:-
Sardar Hasnain Bahadar Dreshak, Minister for Finance laid the Schedule of Authorised Expenditure for the year 2007-08.
THE PUNJAB DESTITUTE AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN (FIRST AMENDMENT) BILL 2007 (Bill No.1 of 2007), moved by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, was passed by the House.
THE PUNJAB FORENSIC SCIENCE AGENCY BILL 2007 (BILL No.16 of 2007) was introduced in the House by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs which was referred to the Standing Committee on Home Affairs for report by 31 July, 2007.
The House was adjourned till 10.00 am, on Tuesday June 26, 2007.
