Sardar Shaukat Hussain Mazari, Deputy Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran.

QUESTION HOUR:-

Questions relating to Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Department were asked and answers were given by Syed Raza Ali Gillani, Minister for Housing and Urban Development and Sardar Hasan Akhtar Mokal, Minister for Public Health Engineering.

CALL ATTENTION NOTICES:-

Call Attention Notice moved by Lala Shakeel-ur-Rehman Advocate regarding killing of Arzoo D\O Amjad Masih in Gujranawala district and Call Attention Notice moved by Mr. Arshad Mahmood Baggu regarding kidnapping of Doctor Naeem and killing an attendant by three dacoits in district Sialkot were answered by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and were disposed of.

PRIVILEGE MOTION:-

Privilege Motion of Sh. Ijaz Ahmed was disposed of as withdrawn.

ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS:-

Total Five Adjournment Motions were taken up. Out of which Adjournment Motion of Raja Riaz Ahmed was disposed of due to absence of mover and Adjournment Motion of Ms. Samina Naveed was kept pending pended till Friday, 29 June, 2007 on the request of mover.

Adjournment Motion moved by Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas regarding killing of two females, in the vicinity of southern Cant Lahore, during Dacoity and Adjournment Motion moved by Sh. Ijaz Ahmed regarding incident about snatching of Rs. 1.3 million from a trade union leader Mr. Nawaz in Faisalabad district were replied by Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs and were disposed of accordingly.

Adjournment Motion moved by Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas regarding protest demonstration of teachers in the province against of privatization of Schools and not giving  teaching allowance worth Rs. 1000 per month as given to Federal Teachers was replied by Mian Imran Masood, Minister for Education.

BILLS:-

  1. The Bill moved by Mr. Tanveer Ashraf Kaira titled “The University of Arid Agriculture Rawalpindi (Amendment) Bill 2004 (Bill No. 12 of 2004)” was passed.

 2. The Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendments) Bill 2007 (Bill No. 8 of 2007) was kept pending till Friday, 29 June, 2007 on the request of mover, Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas.

RESOLUTIONS:-

(i)                 Mr. Arshad Mehmood Baggu with drew his resolution on the statement of Minister for power, Mr. Armughan Subhani that the spark rate is charged by WAPDA on the street lights installed by T.M.As which is even less than domestic rate. 

(ii)               The House unanimously passed a resolution moved by Sheikh Ala-ud-din regarding restoration of clauses 10 and 11 of the Informer Act to check illegal occupation of evacuee property in the Province and its strict implementation so that land worth billions of rupees could be vacated.

(iii)             A resolution moved by Sheikh Ala-ud-din regarding privatization of the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) was kept pending.

(iv)             Miss Misbah Kokab, Advocate withdrew her resolution, regarding installation of water filtration plants all over the province, on the assurance of Dr Tahir Ali Javed, Minister for Special Education that the Government was already working on this project.

(v)               Resolutions of Ms. Shamim Akhtar and Mian Saud Hassan Dar were disposed of due to absence of the movers.

The House was then adjourned till 9:00 am on Friday, 29 June, 2007.
