Mr Shahan Malik son of Malik Hakmeen Khan was born on April 26, 1971. He obtained his early education from Aitchison College and then from Government College, Lahore and obtained the degree of BSBA in 1996 from Washington DC, . An agriculturist, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2008 and is a member of Committee on Privileges and Standing Committee on Mines and Minerals. His father was elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab for three terms in 1972, 1977 and 1988 and also served as Minister in Punjab cabinet during 1972-77 holding the portfolios of Housing & Physical Planning, Auqaf, Food, Cooperatives and Prisons. During the Martial Law imposed in 1977, his father played significant role for revival of democracy in the country and had to face hardships for about eight years. His father was elected as Senator in 1994 and was also a Member of the Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet, Establishment, Management Services, Labours, Manpower, Overseas Pakistanis, Local Government and Rural Development.
