Personal Career & Interests

Malik Muhammad Zahoor Anwar son of Malik Alam Noor was born on July 26, 1938 at village Kot Qazi, Tehsil Talagang, District Chakwal. He obtained the degree of B.Sc. in 1958 from Government College, Lahore and graduated in law in 1960 from University Law College, University of the Punjab, Lahore. He obtained diplomas with distinction in Financial Management from Universities of Delft, Holland and Naples. Before coming into politics, he was a member of Central Superior Services and served Government of Pakistan in various capacities including Additional Commissioner/Commissioner, Northern Areas during 1980-84; as Senior Joint Secretary/Joint Secretary in Ministry of Communications during 1987-98; and, as Additional Secretary in the Ministries of Environment and Labour during 1997-2000. He has visited , , , Holland, , , , , and various European countries on official visit. He has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2008.
