Mrs Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry wife of Mr Abdul Jabbar Aamir, did Masters in English from MAO College, Lahore. She entered into politics in general elections 2002 and contested the election of Provincial Assembly from PP-86, Toba Tek Singh and obtained around 19000 votes. In 2005, she contested the election of District Nazim from District Toba Tek Singh and secured 422 votes out of 1024 and lost the said election by a narrow margin of 90 votes. She has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2008 by securing 23000 votes. She has served as Minister for Population Welfare Punjab from 09-June-2008 to 01-March-2011. |
