Mr Tanvir Ashraf Kaira son of Ch Muhammad Ashraf was born in 1960 at Gujrat. He graduated in 1981 from F.G. College No. 1, Islamabad and obtained the degree of MBA in 1985 from UK. A businessman, who served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07, has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the second consecutive term in general elections 2008. His cousin, Mr Qamar Zaman Kaira, remained MNA during 2002-07 and is presently serving as Federal Minister, his uncle, Ch Muhammad Aslam Kaira, was a Member of Punjab Assembly during 1990-93; and another uncle of him, Haji Muhammad Asghar Kaira, was a Member of Punjab Assembly during 1985-88 and Member, National Assembly during 1988-90 and 1993-96. He has served as Minister for Finance, Punjab from 09-June-2008 to 01-March-2011. |
