Dr Tahir Ali Javed son of Dr Naimat Javed (Sitara-i-Imtiaz) was born on April 26, 1965 at Narowal. After obtaining the degree of MBBS in 1988 from King Edward Medical College, Lahore; he acquired higher studies from USA and UK. He has specialized in cancer, blood diseases, internal medicine and bone-marrow transplant surgery. He is member of Americal College of Physicians (MACP); fellow of the College of Physicians & Surgeons (FCPS); and fellow of Royal College of Physicians, London (FRCP). He was a Member of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07 and also functioned as Minister for Health and as Minister for Special Education. He has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the second consecutive term in general elections 2008.
