Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan son of Haji Taj Khan, a Gold Medalist of Tehrik-e-Pakistan, was born on July 10, 1943 at Jalandhar, India. He along with his family got settled in Burewala, District Vehari after partition of sub-continent. He obtained graduation degree in 1964 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. He is an agriculturist as well as a businessman. He is a Muslim League worker since birth and actively participated in the Tehrik-e-Nizam-e-Mustafa in 1977 and Tehrik-e-Najat in 1996. During the Musharraf regime he contested general election 2002 as ticket holder of PML(N). He has been elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2008.
