| Mrs Deeba Mirza wife of Mirza Abdul Waheed Baig was born at Sialkot. She obtained the degree of MA (Political Science) from University of the Punjab, Lahore in 1989 and that of LL.B. in 1990 and Diploma in Taxation Law in 1991 from Punjab University Law College, Lahore. She served as Member, District Council, Sialkot three consecutive terms during 1998-99 and 2001-06; and 2006-08; she has been Vice President, Lahore Bar Association during 1994-95. She also served for the welfare of humanity and providing free legal aid to the juveniles and under-privileged persons, She has establish an NGO registered with the Punjab Govt Social Welfare department namely “SHELTER” and running an industrial home for skill building in the social sector for provety reduction in women and also serving as Member NGO’s Management Committee District, Sialkot. She is practing advocate and vice president Muslims League (N) lawyers forum Punjab, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2008 against one of the seats reserved for women. | |||||||
