Malik Iftikhar Ahmad son of Malik Ghulam Sarwar was born in 1972 at Rawalpindi and is an intermediate. He has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in bye-election held in August 2008 against the seat vacated by Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif who had been elected from two constituencies (PP-48 & PP-10). The same seat was first won by his brother Malik Ibrar Ahmad (a Member of Punjab Assembly during 2002-07) who had also won the seat of National Assembly and had vacated the provincial seat.
