Personal Career & Interests

Miss Nighat Saleem Khan, daughter of Mr Muhammad Saleem Khan, was born on September 12, 1973 at Faisalabad. She obtained the degree of M.A. (Economics) in 1997 and that of M.A. (Punjabi) in 1999 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. She is engaged in teaching. A keen social worker, who remained associated with Faisalabad Area Upgrading Project during 1996-2002; served as Lady General Councillor during 2001-02 and is running an NGO named Ayesha Development Society for Women. She has been elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002 against one of the seats reserved for women; and is serving as Parliamentary Secretary for Higher Education since November 25, 2003.
