Malik Khalid Mehmood Waran son of Malik Qadir Bux Waran was born on 1969 at Dhoor Koot, District Bahawalpur. He graduated in 1991 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. An agriculturist, who served as Member, District Council Bahawalpur; and as Nazim Union Council, Dhoor Koot, Bahawalpur. He was elected to Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002, resigned from his seat on May 15, 2004 after changing his party affilliation; was re-elected in bye-election held on July 3, 2004; and is serving as Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab since November 24, 2004. His father was Member, Punjab Assembly during 1990-93 and his uncle Malik Aamir Yar is a sitting MNA.
