Personal Career & Interests

Dr Tahir Ali Javed, son of Dr N.A.Javed (Sitara-i-Imtiaz), was born on April 26, 1965 at Sialkot. He obtained the degree of M.B.B.S. in 1988 from King Edward Medical College, Lahore; and acquired higher studies from USA. He has specialized in cancer, blood diseases, internal medicine and bone-marrow transplant surgery. He has been elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002. He worked as Minister for Health from January 4, 2003 to November 30, 2006. He is functioning as Minister for Special Education since December 1, 2006.
