Personal Career & Interests

Lt Col (Retd) Muhammad Abbas son of Ch Shamas-ud-Din (late) was born on March 1, 1948. He obtained the degree of B.Sc. (Civil Engineering) in 1982 from Military College of Engineering, Risalpur. As a civil engineer, he has supervised many-engineering projects. He visited Kuwait in 1984 as representative of Corps of Engineering, Pakistan Army. He has been elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002, and has been appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Communications & Works on August 5, 2003. His brother, Mr Muhammad Tariq Anis remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1988-90 and 1993-96.
