Mr Akmal Saif Chatha son of Chaudhry Saif Ali Chatha was born on November 8, 1973 at Alipur Chatha, District Gujranwala. He graduated from F.C.College, Lahore. An agriculturist and a businessman, who has been elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in bye- elections 2003 against the seat vacated by Mr Hamid Nasir Chatha who took oath as MNA. His grandfather, Chaudhry Bashir Ahmed Chatha, was Member Punjab Assembly during 1972-77, his father was Member Punjab Assembly during 1988-90, his brother-in-law, Mr Shahid Manzoor Gill, was also Member Punjab Assembly during 1997-99 and his cousin, Mr Javaid Manzoor Gill is also a Member of present Assembly (PP-173).
