October 18, 1993 to November 17, 1996

After dissolution of the previous Assembly on the advice of Chief Minister in June 1993, this Assembly was constituted as a result of general elections held in October 1993. Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo was re-elected as the Chief Minister on October 20, 1993 and held office till September 12, 1995 when he failed to obtain the vote of confidence1 and was replaced by Sardar Muhammad Arif Nakai on September 13, 19952.

Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo challenged his removal from office in the Lahore High Court. The Court, by its order dated November 3, 1996, restored him to the office of the Chief Minister as on September 5, 19953.

This Assembly could not complete its tenure of five years and the Governor dissolved it on November 17, 19964. It held its last session from November 10, 1996 to November 16, 1996; thus it met for 174 sittings over 40 sessions and passed 25 Acts.
