General Discussion on Annual Budget for the year 2020-21

 

General discussion on Annual Budget for the year 2020-21 continued for the fourth day and the last day. Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Ms Shamim Aftab, Ms Hina Pervaiz Butt, Ms Momina Waheed, Rana Munawar Hussain, Ms Aisha Nawaz, Mr Mohammad Kashif, Mr Ahmad Khan, Mr Sohaib Ahmad Malik, Ms Firdous Rahna, Mr Muhammad Arshad Malik, Mr Saeed Akbar Khan, Mr Tariq Masih Gill, Mr Muhammad Sabtain Raza, Mr Ramesh Singh Arora, Ms Uzma Kardar, Mr Muzaffar Ali Sheikh, Mr Haroon Imran Gill, Ms Sumbul Malik, Mr Faisal Hayat, Ms Gulnaz Shahzadi, Mian Muhammad Farrukh Mumtaz Maneka, Mian Khalid Memood, Mr Umar Farooq, Mr Muhammad Yousaf and Ms Asia Amjad participated in the discussion. On behalf of Minister for Finance, Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, Minister for Industries, Commerce & Investment concluded the discussion on budget. In his wind up speech, he said that in difficult times, the Government had presented a tax free and balanced budget. He further added that allocation for South Punjab had been increased to 36% which was 16 % during previous tenure. He further stated that the Government had allocated 9.5 billion for providing loans to Punjab Small Industries with 1 to 2 % mark up. He claimed that 5550 schemes were initiated by the previous rulers which would be completed by the present Government which were beneficial for masses.                    

 

The House was then adjourned at 07:04 p.m. to meet on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
