Questions relating to Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department were asked and answered by Dr. Yasmin Rashid, the concerned Minister.

 

Call Attention Notices

 

Five Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Notice of Mr Muhammad Arshad Malik regarding murder of two people due to firing by armed persons within the premises of Kahna near Gajumatta Lahore, the Notice of Mr Muhammad Abdullah Warraich regarding murder of two people including one Police Head Constable Mr Kashif due to firing by motorcyclist within the premises of Harbanspura Lahore, the Notice of Mr Muhammad Tahir Pervaiz regarding dacoity of Rs.770,000/- including prize bonds, Saudi Riyals, gold and mobile set, at the residence of Mr Muhammad Ramzan owner of Jani Pan Shop at Factory Area police station Dijkot Road Faisalabad, the Notice moved by Ms Sajida Begum regarding murder of Syed Saeed Ali Taqi Shah, 17 years old boy on land dispute at Mouza Jalalpur Syedan, the Notice moved by Ms Khadija Umer regarding murder of Mr Aslam and injuring his son Mr Hamza due to firing by unknown persons at Chhapar Stop Multan Road within the premises of Police Station Nawankot Lahore, were disposed of after replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

 

Government Business

 

Laying of Report

 

Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs laid before the House the Audit Report on the Accounts of Disaster Management Organizations-Punjab for the Audit Year 2018-19, which was referred to the Public Accounts Committee No.II with the direction to examine and report within one year.

 

Privilege Motion

 

The Privilege Motion moved by Mr Muhammad Safdar Shakir regarding misbehavior of Mr Osama Sharon, Assistant Commissioner, Tehsil Tandlianwala, District Faisalabad with the Member concerned and refusal to attend his telephone call, was referred to the Special Committee No.8 with the direction to submit its report within two months.

 

Adjournment Motions

 

Six Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Adjournment Motion of Sheikh Alla-ud-Din moved on 10-01-2019 regarding commercialization around Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore also known as Lawrence Garden which has devastated its condition and it seems to be a conspiracy to hand it over to private developers for maintenance, the Motion of Choudhary Ashraf Ali moved on 21-02-2019 regarding installation of 366 sub-standard boilers at various factories in Gujranwala region endangering the lives of residents, the Motion of Ch Iftikhar Hussain Chhachhar  moved on 24-12-2019 regarding development of Lahore Garden Housing Scheme by the owner without getting approval from LDA and without provision of basic facilities to the residents in connivance with the employees of the said Department and embezzlement of huge amount from the residents of said Housing Scheme, the Motion of Sheikh Alla-ud-Din moved on 23-12-2019 regarding extravagant spending on wedding events and PFDC was promoting lavish expenditure on bridal dresses etc. by celebrating bridal weeks when Pakistan was going through war like situation and was unaware of its consequences and effects on the poor people, the Motion moved by Ms Hina Pervaiz Butt regarding kite flying and its making was on the rise in south Punjab and across the Province clearly violating legal directions and police acting like spectator did not take action against the culprits, hence, urgent action was required to save lives of people, were disposed of after replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs. The Motion of Sheikh Alla-ud-Din moved on 14-03-2019 demanding to make clear policy about the migrants coming to Lahore from different cities of Pakistan as they were undocumented and lacking basic facilities, was kept pending.

 

The House was then adjourned at 06:35 p.m. to meet on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
