1    THE PUNJAB METRO BUS AUTHORITY BILL 2012

            A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Metro Bus Authority Bill 2012.

 

2    THE PUNJAB ZAKAT AND USHR BILL 2012

            A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Zakat and Ushr Bill 2012.

 

3    THE PUNJAB MOTION PICTURES (AMENDMENT) BILL 2012

            A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Motion Pictures (Amendment) Bill 2012.

 

(b) CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF BILL

 

      THE PUNJAB EMPLOYEES EFFICIENCY, DISCIPLINE AND ACCOUNTABILITY (AMENDMENT) BILL 2011 (Bill No. 50 of 2011)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (Amendment) Bill 2011, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Services and General Administration, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (Amendment) Bill 2011 be passed.

 Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour:-

Questions relating to Schools Education Department were asked and answered by Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Minister for Excise and Taxation holding additional charge of Education Department.

Laying of Report:-

Mrs. Ayehsa Javed presented the reports of the Standing Committee on Education before the House in respect of “The Women University Multan (Amendment) Bill 2012 (Bill No.12 of 2012) and The Public Sector Universities (Amendment) Bill 2012 (Bill No.13 of 2012)”.

Extension In Time Limit For Laying The Reports:-

On a Motion moved by Al-Haaj Muhammad Ilyas Chinioti, the House granted extension up to one month to Special Committee No. 23 for laying its report on “Adjournment Motion No.2047 for the year 2011 moved by Ms Humaira Awais Shahid regarding revision of syllabus in Madrasas”.

Call Attention Notice:-

Raja Shaukat Aziz Bhatti moved the Call Attention Notice regarding kidnapping and murder of Mr Pervaiz Anwar S/O Muhammad Anwar resident of PP-4 Rawalpindi without Police intervention and later recovery of his dead body from Khanewal Road Multan near fertilizer factory. The notice was kept pending.

The Notice was answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motions:-

Five Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Ch Shaukat Mahmood Basra, Advocate regarding closure of Lahore Meat Complex which was started in coordination with Iran and had international recognition and the Motion moved by Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan regarding illegal possession in terms of lease of land of Govt Muslim Model Girls High School Nigham pura in PP-66 by one Mr Ghulam Muhammad Sabir in connivance with the Revenue Department were disposed of. The Motion moved by Mrs. Samina Khawar Hayat regarding non-release of funds for the renovation of embankments to provide protection against flood water, the Motion moved by Major (R) Abdur Rehman Rana suggesting different jail reforms and the Motion moved by Rai Muhammad Aslam Khan regarding water theft at Syed Wala and Ali Haj water courses by some influential Landlords and protest by poor farmers were kept pending till next session.

The Motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs introduced the following Bills which were referred to the concerned Standing Committees to report within one month.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs moved the following Bill, which was passed by the House. “THE PUNJAB EMPLOYEES EFFICIENCY, DISCIPLINE AND ACCOUNTABILITY (AMENDMENT) BILL 2011 (Bill No. 50 of 2011).

The House was then prorogued.
