اس ایوان کی رائے ہے کہ اخبارات میں شائع ہونے والی قرآنی آیات اور ان کے  ترجمے کو محفوظ بنانے اور بے حرمتی سے بچانے کے لئے تمام اخبارات کو اس امر کا پابند بنایا جائے کہ قرآنی آیات و ترجمہ کے گرد کوپن اور کاؤنٹر فوائل کی طرز پر ڈاٹ بنا کر Scissor and cutting marks لگائیں تاکہ انہیں باآسانی کاٹ کر محفوظ کیا جا سکے۔

اس ایوان کی رائے ہے کہ صوبہ کی جیلوں میں قید ایسی شادی شدہ خواتین جو دس سال یا زائد کی قید کاٹ رہی ہیں، انہیں ہر ماہ ایک مرتبہ اپنے خاوند سے جیل میں ملنے کی اجازت دینے کے لئے متعلقہ قوانین و قواعد میں گنجائش پیدا کی جائے۔

اس ایوان کی رائے ہے  کہ فیصل آباد ضلع میں 144 کے قریب صنعتی ادارے جن کا زہر آلودہ پانی سمندری ڈرین میں گرتا ہے جس  سے ہر سال ہزاروں افراد مختلف قسم کے موذی امراض میں مبتلا ہو کر ہلاک ہو رہے ہیں، ان کو بند کیا جائے یا پھر  اس زہرآلودہ پانی کے لئے Treatment Plant  لگایا جائے۔

Questions relating to Health Department were asked and Dr. Farrukh Javed, Minister for Agriculture (holding additional charge) answered the questions.

Adjournment Motions:-

Fourteen Adjournment Motions were taken up. The motion moved by Mr Muhammad Arif Abbasi regarding deteriorating standard of education in the Province of Punjab as a result of some conspiracy, despite the fact that the Government is generously spending on education and paying good salaries and perks to the Government teachers, two Motions moved by Sardar Vickas Hassan Mokal, one regarding disappointing result of BA/BSc examination especially in Government colleges which need improvement, however, the result of private institutions remained quite better and the other Motion regarding illegal cuts at the Marala Ravi Link Canal to Head Marala in the cover of flood, which is down streaming to Daska in connivance with the irrigation and concerned departments. Resultantly farmers and landlords of Daska are deprived of water to irrigate their crops and action not being taken against the culprits, the motion moved by Mr. Ahmed Khan Bhachar regarding 3 feet rain water accumulated in Government Boys High School located in Chak No.69, R-B Ghaseetpura, District Faisalabad, destroying IT and Science Labs and apparatus available there, worth lacs of rupees and instead of taking steps to pump out rain water from school premises the school administration closed the school, the motion moved by Mst Saadia Sohail Rana regarding spread of Dengue virus in Punjab and increase in the number of patients suffering from this disease, the Motion moved by Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed regarding increase in flour prices for Rs.5 per kg, consequently increasing the price of bread and muffin to Rs.6 and Rs 8 respectively, two motions moved by Mst. Kanwal Nauman, one  regarding non-working condition of Angiography machines at Punjab Institute of Cardiology where only one machine is operative for patients, the second motion regarding increase in number of factories in Lahore, which were spreading toxic pollution and violating Labour Laws, the Motion moved by Mst Azma Zahid Bokhari regarding exclusion of names of 2 martyrs from class 9 English text book, who received Nishan-e-Haider namely Lans Naik Muhammad Mahfooz Shaheed and Rider Muhammad Hussain Shaheed, the Motion moved by Malik Mazhar Abbas Raan regarding appointment of Mr Ijaz Khan grade 17 officer against one post of doctor in grade 18, who used political influence and openly indulged in financial corruption by awarding tender of Wapda Employees Cooperative Society on lesser rates for Rs.8 lacs for 3 years which in the open market could be awarded for Rs. 20 lacs thus giving loss of Rs.36 lacs to the National Exchequer were disposed of. The Motion moved by Mst. Kanwal Nauman regarding 100% increase in the prices of vegetables by Market Committees in the cover of flood and monsoon rains, the Motion moved by Ms Azma Zahid Bokhari regarding collection and raising of charity and funds by certain groups on different roads of cities in Punjab for rehabilitation of flood victims, not withstanding whether these funds are reaching the affectees, therefore, the Government needs to monitor these groups, the motion moved by Sheikh Ala-ud-Din regarding construction of flats on parks at Chuburji Gardens Estate, Multan Road, Lahore, on the proposal of Mr Farooq, Estate Officer S&GAD, declaring these parks useless which on the contrary provide entertainment as well as fresh air to the families of Government servants residing in the attached houses of parks and there are 24 attached Houses with each park while 400 houses in totality, and the last Motion of Mrs. Nighat Sheikh regarding upgradation of Government College for Women, Madina Town, Faisalabad from college to university status due to which 200 staff members working there since long have been declared to be on probation and 8000 students studying there have to face financial constraints due to fee increase. On the contrary a separate university had to be established so that identity of the college could be maintained were kept pending till Friday.

The Motions were answered by Mr. Khalil Tahir Sindhu, Minister for Human Rights.

Resolution:-

With the mutual understanding between Opposition and Government Benches, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, Leader of Opposition moved the resolution, condemning the terrorist attack on the Karachi Office of English daily “Express” which was unanimously passed by the House.

Through a resolution, Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob Nadeem Sethi demanded to bound newspaper publishers to put scissors and cutting marks around all the “Qurani verses and its translation” appearing in the News paper, so that they can be easily cut to preserve their sanctity. The resolution was unanimously passed by the House.

The Resolution moved by Mr. Muhmmad Saqlain Anwar Sipra demanded to award charter and university status to Jhang Campus of University of Veterinary and Animals Sciences, Lahore, and its name be changed to Mian Muhammad Sharif Veterinary University was kept pending till next week.

The Resolution moved by Sheikh Ala-ud-Din demanded the Federal Government to immediately unearth cement factories cartels through Competition Commission of Pakistan to bring down the price of cement bag to Rs.120 was passed by the House.

یہ معزز ایوان وفاقی حکومت سے مطالبہ کرتا ہے کہ Competition Commission of Pakistan کے ذریعے  سیمنٹ Factories کے کارٹل کا فی الفور خاتمہ کیا جائے تاکہ سیمنٹ کی فی بوری قیمت 120روپے تک کم ہو سکے۔

Ms. Surriya Naseem moved a resolution to allow female prisoners of the Province of Punjab through amendment in the relevant law to meet their husbands once in a month who have been imprisoned for ten years or more was disposed of.

اس ایوان کی رائے ہے کہ صوبہ کی جیلوں میں قید ایسی شادی شدہ خواتین جو دس سال یا زائد کی قید کاٹ رہی ہیں، انہیں ہر ماہ ایک مرتبہ اپنے خاوند سے جیل میں ملنے کی اجازت دینے کے لئے متعلقہ قوانین و قواعد میں گنجائش پیدا کی جائے۔

Mr. Ehsan Riaz Fatyana moved a resolution that 144 industrial units are polluting Sumandri drain water in district Faisalabad. Due to which thousands of people die after suffering from fatal diseases. Either these units should be closed or treatment plants to treat toxic water should be installed. The resolution was passed by the House.
