Makhdum Syed Muhammad Masood Alam son of Makhdum Syed Muhammad Alam Amjad was born on January 1, 1961 at Muzaffargarh and is a graduate. An agriculturist, who served as Member, District Council Rahim Yar Khan for two terms; as Chairman, Market Committee Liaquatpur for three years and has also functioned as Tehsil Nazim Liaquatpur during 2000-04. He remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1997-99 and has returned to Punjab Assembly for the second term in general elections 2013 and is functioning as Chairman, Standing Committee on Home Affairs. He has travelled to Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Malawi, UK and China. His grandfather, Makhdum Syed Muhammad Mohsin had been a Member of Legislative Assembly Bahawalpur; and his uncle, Makhdum Syed Ahmad Alam, remained Member of National Assembly for four consecutive terms during 1985-96 and 2002-07 and functioned as Federal Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis Foundation during 1991-93.
