Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.
Ch Muhammad Arshad son of Ch Sardar Ali (late) was born on November 1, 1959 at Sarai Alamgir. He graduated in Law from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. He was Naib Tehsildar during 1990-98. He remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2003-07 and 2008-13 and served as Chairman, Standing Committee on Communication and Works during 2003-07. An Advocate and an agriculturist, who has returned to Punjab Assembly for the third term in General Elections 2018. He has travelled to UK, USA and Europe. His brother, Ch Muhammad Farooq was a Member of Punjab Assembly during 1988-90, 1990-93, 1993-96 and 2002; and also functioned as Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs during 1993-96; and his uncle, Ch Abdul Rehman served as Tehsil Nazim Sarai Alamgir during 2001-08 for two consecutive terms.
