Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.

Personal Career & Interests

Mr Ghazanfar Abbas Chheena son of Malik Sharaf Sher Chheena was born on December 15, 1962 at Hyderabad Thal, District Bhakkar. He obtained the degrees of M.A and that of LL.B. in 1989 and 1990 respectively from University of the Punjab, Lahore. An agriculturist and a lawyer, who remained Member, District Council Bhakkar during 1991-93; as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2013-18 and has returned to Punjab Assembly for the second consecutive term in General Elections 2018. He has travelled to Thailand, Kenya and Malaysia. His uncle, Malik Aman Ullah Chheena remained Chairman, District Council Mianwali during 1980-83; and as Member, Punjab Assembly during 1990-93 and also served as Advisor to Chief Minister.
