Syed Akhtar Hussain Rizvi, son of Syed Muhammad Hussain Rizvi, was born on May 30, 1948 at Chawinda, District Sialkot; and, obtained the degree of M.A. (Political Science) from University of the Punjab in 1972. An agriculturist, who served as Councillor and Chairman, of Muncipal Committee Chawinda from 1983 to 1991; and, in that capacity he visited Korea and China in 1986. He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab first in 1985, then, in 1993; and, has been re-elected for the third term, in 1997. He also functioned as member, Public Accounts Committee of the Assembly during 1993-96. He has been elected as Chairman, Committee on Privileges.

CHAUDHRY GHULAM AHMAD KHAN, MPA

Chaudhry Ghulam Ahmad Khan, son of Chaudhry Qasim Khan, was born in 1930 at Village Ruppo Chak, Tehsil and District Narowal; and, is a graduate. An agriculturist, who served as Chairman, Union Council Ruppo Chak from 1961 to 1964 and, then, from 1979 to 1987. He had been member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from 1985 to 1988, 1990 to 1993, 1993 to 1996; and, has been re-elected, for the fourth term, in 1997. He has been elected as Chairman, Standing Committee on Local Government & Rural Development.

Mian Abdul Hameed, son of Mian Nazir Ahmed, was born on May 1, 1956 at Badomalhi, District Narowal; and, is a matriculate. A business, who served as Chairman, Town Committee Badomalhi for about eighteen months. He was first elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in 1993; and, has been re-elected in 1997. He has been elected as Chairman Standing Committee on Food.

Maulvi Muhammad Ghayas-ud-Din, son of Maulvi Rehmat Ullah, was born on January 1, 1948 at Qasba Shakhu Chak, Tehsil Shakargarh, District Narowal; and, obtained the degree of Al Shahadat-ul-Alamia (equivalent to M.A. Islamiyat) from Tanzeem-ul-Madaras Pakistan in 1973. A religious teacher and preacher, who visited Saudi Arabia and India. He was first elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in 1985; and, has again re-elected in 1997.

Mr Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Chaudhry Noor Muhammad, was born on March 1, 1937 at Chak Dola Tehsil Shakargarh, District Narowal; and obtained the degree of LL.B. in 1964. An advocate, who had been Chairman, Union Council Ramtree and member District Council Sialkot from 1964 to 1969. He served as member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from 1971 to 1976; and, has been re-elected in 1997. He visited Saudi Arabia in 1980.
