Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (P.B.U.H.) by Mian Marghoob Ahmad Hamdani.
Presentation of Annual Budget Statement for the Year 2009-10
Mr Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Minister for Finance delivered his budget speech and presented the Annual Budget Statement for the year 2009-10.
Presentation of the Supplementary Budget Statement for the Year 2007-08
The Minister for Finance presented the Supplementary Budget Statement for the year 2009-10.
Introduction of the Punjab Finance Bill, 2008
The Minister for Finance introduced the Punjab Finance Bill, 2009.
As per schedule issued by the Assembly Secretariat, four days were fixed for general discussion on the budget to commence from June 19, 2009; therefore, on completion of the business of the day, the House was adjourned to meet on June 19, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.
