Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Muhammad Ali followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (P.B.U.H.) by Mr Abid Rauf Qadri.

Privilege Motion

Only one privilege motion was taken up. The motion moved by Mrs. Saba Sadiq regarding misbehavior of Executive Engineer, WAPDA, Township, (Mr Sajid Raza) was kept pending till 1st of July.

The motion was answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Rana Sanaullah Khan.  

Adjournment Motion

Nine adjournment motions were taken up. Dr. Asad Ashraf requested the House to extend the date up to 31st July, 2009 for the matter relating to an incident which took place on 1st January, 2009 at the residence of Dr. Asad Muazzam, MPA (PP-67), which was referred to Special Committee. The House approved the same.
