GOVERNMENT BUSINESS

 

1.   THE PROVINCIAL MOTOR VEHICLES (FIRST AMENDMENT) BILL 2009 (Bill No. 19 of 2009)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Motor Vehicles (First Amendment) Bill, as recommended by Standing Committee on Home Affairs, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Motor Vehicles (First Amendment) Bill 2009 be passed.

 

2.   THE PUNJAB RENTED PREMISES BILL 2009 (Bill No. 23 of 2009)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Rented Premises Bill 2009, as recommended by Standing Committee on Home Affairs be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Rented Premises Bill 2009 be passed.

 

3.   THE PUNJAB PROCUREMENT REGULATORY AUTHORITY BILL 2009 (Bill No. 21 of 2009)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the requirements of rule 95(3) of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 and other relevant provisions of rules ibid may be dispensed with under Rule 234 ibid, for consideration and passage of the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority Bill 2009.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority Bill 2009, as recommended by Standing Committee on Services and General Administration be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority Bill 2009 be passed.

 

4.   THE PUNJAB GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WELFARE FUND (AMENDMENT) BILL 2009 (Bill No. 24 of 2009)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the requirements of rule 95(3) of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 and other relevant provisions of rules ibid may be dispensed with under Rule 234 ibid, for consideration and passage of the Punjab Government Employees Welfare Fund (Amendment) Bill 2009.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Government Employees Welfare Fund (Amendment) Bill 2009, as recommended by Standing Committee on Finance be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Government Employees Welfare Fund (Amendment) Bill 2009 be passed.

 

5.   THE PUNJAB FISHERIES (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2009 (Bill No. 25 of 2009)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the requirements of rule 95(3) of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 and other relevant provisions of rules ibid may be dispensed with under Rule 234 ibid, for consideration and passage of the Punjab Fisheries (Amendment) Bill 2009.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Fisheries (Amendment) Bill 2009, as recommended by Standing Committee on Forestry and Fisheries be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Fisheries (Amendment) Bill 2009 be passed.

 

6.   THE PROVINCIAL MOTOR VEHICLES (SECOND AMENDMENT) BILL 2009 (Bill No. 26 of 2009)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the requirements of rule 95(3) of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 and other relevant provisions of rules ibid may be dispensed with under Rule 234 ibid, for consideration and passage of the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Second Amendment) Bill 2009.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Second Amendment) Bill 2009, as recommended by Standing Committee on Excise & Taxation, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Second Amendment) Bill 2009 be passed.

 Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Mr. Muhammad Ali Qadri followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (P.B.U.H.) by Mr. Abid Rauf Qadri.

Question Hour: −

Questions relating to INDUSTRIES AND MINES & MINERALS DEPARTMENTS were asked and Ch. Abdul Ghafoor, Minister for Prisons holding Additional Charge of Industries, and Raja Riaz Ahmad, Senior Minister & Minister for Irrigation & Power holding Additional Charge of Mines and Minerals Departments answered the questions respectively.

 Adjournment Motion:-

Seven Adjournment Motions were taken up.

Adjournment Motion of Mrs.‏ Samina Khawar Hayat regarding 1,061 files of Johar Town Phase 1 & 2 lost by LDA officials, Adjournment Motion of Peer Walayat Shah Khagha regarding theft of animals from a Government Farm in Sahiwal District, Adjournment Motion of Mr. Shahan Malik regarding smuggling of narcotics and arms in his constituency PP-15, Adjournment Motion of Mr. Qaisar Iqbal Sindhu regarding frauds of property dealers in the Province, Adjournment Motion of Sheikh Ala ud Din regarding rapid rise in the crimes of women trafficking in the Punjab and involvement of an organised gang in this heinous act and most of the women from Punjab are taken to the Middle East countries and Adjournment Motion of Sheikh Ala ud Din regarding Monopoly of contractor Mafia in Communication & Works and Irrigation Departments were pended till Thursday, November 05, 2009.

Adjournment Motion moved by Sheikh Ala ud Din regarding rapid rise in the crimes of Child Abuse was disposed of.
