Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Abdul Majid followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (P.B.U.H.) by Mr. Abid Rauf Qadri.

Question Hour: −

Questions relating to Labour and Human Resources & Tourism Departments were asked and Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sohna, Minister for Labour and Human Resources and Rana Muhammad Arshad, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism answered the questions.

Privilege Motions:-

Only one Privilege Motion was taken up. The Motion moved by Major (R) Abdul Rehman Rana regarding misbehavior of staff of Toll plaza at Ferozwala with him was pended till Tuesday.

The Motion was answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motions:-

Seven Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Mr. Ali Haidar Noor Khan Niazi regarding newspaper report about project of Mass Transit worth 8 billion Dollars was sidelined by Transport Authority Punjab, The Motion moved by Mrs. Khadija Umar regarding newspaper report about protest by Employees Federation Education Board, Punjab for cutting down autonomy of Educational Boards, The Motion moved by Mrs. Amna Ulfat regarding newspaper report about importing of low energy buses by Transport Authority Punjab were disposed of. The Motion moved by Mrs. Samina Khawar Hayat regarding newspaper report about protest by jail slaves for not giving them proper facilities. The Motion moved by Mrs. Samina Naveed regarding not giving salaries to Polio workers at Bahawalpur, The Motion moved by Mr. Qaisar Iqbal Sindhu regarding not having DPC of Communication and Works Department, as 300 vacancies are available of SDO were pended till next week. The Motion moved by Sheikh Ala ud Din regarding discriminatory attitude with PCS officers was pended till Tuesday.

The Motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

The House was then adjourned till 3:00 pm on Monday, February 15th, 2010.
