Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Majid followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (P.B.U.H.) by Mr. Sarwar Hussain Naqshbandi.
Question Hour: −
Questions relating to Culture and Sports Department were asked and Dr. Tanveer-ul-Islam, Minister for Culture and Sports answered the questions.
Call Attention Notices:-
Two call attention Notices were taken up. One Call Attention Notice moved by Ch. Irfan-ud-Din regarding Sajid Bhatti, A.S.I posted at Police Station A Division, District Gujrat, who attacked at Railway Police Choki and forcibly got the accused released from Police custody. Other Notice moved by Ms. Maiza Hameed regarding newspaper report about assassination of factory chef at Kahhna, Lahore.
Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs answered the Notices and were disposed of.
Privilege Motions:-
Only one Privilege Motion was taken up. The Motion moved by Dr. Faiza Asghar regarding misbehavior of Chairman Inquiry Committee Mr. Nazar Muhammad Chohan on the incident of the death of girl in Doctor Hospital was pended till Monday.
The Motion was answered by Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Adjournment Motions:-
Five Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Ms. Zobia Rubab Malik regarding newspaper report about not making regular to forty thousand contract employees of the Province was disposed of, the Motion moved by Farah Deeba regarding waiving off 65 percent entertainment duty on Pakistani films at cinema houses was pended till next day, two Motions moved by Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari regarding newspaper report about closing down Thal Canal, Chashma Right Bank Canal, Muzaffar Garh Canal and Dera Ghazi Khan Canal was disposed of and the other motion regarding newspaper report about releasing of only Rs 180 million out of 5 billion for Southern Punjab under the Annual Development Programme was pended till Monday the Motion moved by Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Chohan regarding having only one park for the residents of Gujranwala was disposed of the Motion moved by Mr. Ali Haidar Noor Khan Niazi regarding newspaper report about illegal and unregistered testing laboratories working in Lahore was pended.
The Motions were answered by Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Laying of reports:-
Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs laid the report of “The Observance and Implementation of Principles of Policy for the year 2007” before the House.
Extension In Time Limit For Laying The Reports:-
On the Motions moved by Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, the House granted extension to submit its reports within one year, for laying the following Audit Reports which were referred to Public Accounts Committee-I.
“The Accounts of the Government of The Punjab Civil Works, Communication & Works, Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering, Irrigation & Power and Local Government & Community Development Departments For The Year 2006-07” and “The Accounts of Revenue Receipts Government of the Punjab For the Year 2006-07”.
Bill:-
Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved the following Bill:
“The Punjab Privatization Board Bill 2010 (Bill No. 10 of 2010)”, which was passed by the House.
Discussion On A Matter Of Public Importance Arising Out Of Adjournment Motion No. 13/2010:-
Motion under Rule 87, the general discussion on regarding women who are over aged and are not been married given relaxing in age took place. The following members participated in the discussion. Sheikh Ala ud Din, Mr. Muhammad Sana Ullah Khan Masti Khel, Mrs. Nighat Nasir Sheikh, Ms. Fouzia Behram, Mrs. Shameela Aslam, Mrs. Deeba Mirza, Mian Naseer Ahmed, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Rana Muhammad Arshad, Syed Hassan Murtaza, Ms. Tayyaba Zameer, Dr. Zamurad Yasmin Rana, Mrs. Samina Khawar Hayat, Dr. Amna Buttar, Ms. Sakina Shaheen Khan, Al-Haaj Muhammad Ilyas Chinioti, Malik Jehan Zeb Warn. At this stage the discussion was adjourned till Monday.
The House was then adjourned till 9:00 am on Friday, February 19th, 2010.
