1.   THE PUNJAB TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING AUTHORITY BILL 2010 (Bill No. 7 of 2010)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority Bill 2010, as recommended by Standing Committee on Industries, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority Bill 2010 be passed.

 

 

2.   THE PUNJAB EXAMINATION COMMISSION BILL 2010 (Bill No. 3 of 2010)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Examination Commission Bill 2010, as recommended by Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Examination Commission Bill 2010 be passed.

 

 

3.   THE PUNJAB POWER DEVELOPMENT BOARD BILL 2010 (Bill No. 8 of 2010)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Power Development Board Bill 2010, as recommended by Standing Committee on Irrigation and Power, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Power Development Board Bill 2010 be passed.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Abdul Ghaffar Shakir followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Mr. Sarwar Naqshbandi.


Question Hour: −

Questions relating to Prisons Department were asked and Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer, Minister for Prisons answered the questions.

At this stage, the Opposition walked out protesting the closure of Chashma-Jehlum Link Canal.

Adjournment Motions:-

Ten adjournment motions were taken up. Three motions of Ch. Zahir-ud-Din regarding newspaper report about short fall of 12 billion rupees in Punjab, motion regarding  newspaper report about a girl who was found unconscions near Governor House after being kidnapped by unidentified persons in a car and his third motion regarding newspaper report about incomplete development work by the contractor at Government Girls Middle School, Tehsil Shakargarh, District Narowal, motion moved by Mrs. Samina Khawar Hayat regarding failure of government in fixing support price for rice/paddy and increasing price of fertizers and pesticides, motion moved by Ms. Zobia Rubab Malik regarding a tube well, still out of order since the flood of 1992, in Miani city, Tehsil Bhalwal and motion moved by Dr. Samia Amjad regarding newspaper report about non-payment of three month salaries to work-charge employees of WASA, were disposed of as the movers were not present. Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Jamil Shah demanding schools for girls and boys in his constituency, motion moved by Al-Haaj Muhammad Ilyas Chinioti regarding ignoring applicants, seeking jobs in the Education Department, two motions moved by Sardar Khalid Saleem Bhatti regarding newspaper report about the illegal possession of land at Mujahid Colony, Burewala and other motion regarding newspaper report about the out-of-order tube wells in Burewala city, were kept pending till next week.    

The motions were answered by Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved the following Bills:

1.   THE PUNJAB TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING AUTHORITY BILL 2010 (Bill No. 7 of 2010)”.

 

2.   “THE PUNJAB EXAMINATION COMMISSION BILL 2010 (Bill No. 3 of 2010)”, The bills were later passed by the House.

 

Then, the House was adjourned till 10:00 am on Thursday, July 15, 2010.
