1.   THE PUNJAB HEALTHCARE BILL 2009 (Bill No. 31 of 2009)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the requirements of Rule 95 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 may be dispensed with under Rule 234 of the Rules ibid, for the immediate consideration of the Punjab Healthcare Bill 2009.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Healthcare Bill 2009, as recommended by Standing Committee on Health, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Healthcare Bill 2009 be passed.

 

2.   THE GLOBAL INSTITUTE LAHORE BILL 2010 (Bill No. 18 of 2010)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Global Institute Lahore Bill 2010, as recommended by Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Global Institute Lahore Bill 2010 be passed.

 

3.   THE LAHORE LEADS UNIVERSITY BILL 2010 (Bill No. 17 of 2010)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Lahore Leads University Bill 2010, as recommended by Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Lahore Leads University Bill 2010 be passed.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Muhammad Ali followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Akhtar Hussain Qureshi.


Question Hour: −

Questions relating to Irrigation and Power Department were asked and Ms. Faiza Ahmed Malik, Parliamentary Secretary for Irrigation and Power, answered the questions.

 

Call Attention Notices:-

Two call attention notices were taken up. The notice moved by Mr. Khalid Javed Asghar Ghural regarding newspaper report about the assassination of Dr. Aslam, resident of Sandha by unidentified motor cycle riders was disposed of as the mover was absent, other notice moved by Ch. Zaheer-ud-Din regarding newspaper report about the bomb blasts at an Internet Café in Garhi Shahu and Shahdara.

The notices were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs  

Leave of absence:-

Secretary Provincial Assembly of the Punjab Mr. Maqsood Ahmad Malik read out the leave applications of the following members and the House granted them leave.

Mian Muhammad Rafique, Ch. Moonis Elahi, Mr. Imran Ashraf, Mr. Shafiq Ahmad Gujjar, Mr. Malik Yasir Raza, Mr. Malik Muhammad Zahoor Anwar, Ms. Fouzia Behram and Mr. Muhammad Yar Hiraj.

Privilege Motion:-

Only one privilege motion was taken up. The motion of Syed Muhammad Rafi-ul-Din Bukhari regarding misbehavior of Mr. Tahir Ejaz, SHO Lodhran Police Station was kept pending till next week.

The motion was answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

 

Adjournment Motions:-

Eight Adjournment Motions were taken up. Four motions moved by Seemal Kamran one regarding newspaper report about the illegal construction of Slug well at Badian road, Lahore, without taking NOC by the Contractor from Environment department, other motion regarding newspaper report about only 136 ventilators at 5 government hospitals for the population of 10 million of Lahore, motion regarding newspaper report about lack of cleanliness at UC 1, ward no. 2, despite more than 40 sanitary workers and her last motion regarding selling of fake agri-products in the Punjab, motion moved by  Mrs. Amna Ulfat demanding meeting for the promotion of Secondary School Teachers (SST) in Lahore, motion moved by  Mr. Ijaz Ahmed Khan regarding newspaper report about kidnap of Dr. Ali Abdullah, House Officer of Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, motion moved by  Mian Muhammad Rafique regarding selling of Canal Rest Houses of Punjab along with their lands by Punjab Privatization Board and last motion moved by Mian Tariq Mehmood regarding old water supply and sewerage pipelines at Dinga, District Gujrat, were kept pending till tomorrow.

The motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

THE PUNJAB HEALTHCARE BILL 2009 (Bill No. 31 of 2009). The bill was later passed by the House.
