Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Muhammad Abdul Ghaffar Shakir followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Mr. Sarwar Hussain Naqshbandi.
Question Hour: −
Questions relating to Prisons Department were asked and Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer, Minister for Prisons answered the questions.
Extension In Time Limit For Laying The Reports:-
On the Motion moved by Malik Muhammad Waris Kalo, the House granted extension up to 31st December, 2010 to Committee on Privileges for laying its reports regarding “Privilege Motion No. 3,5,6 and 51 for the year 2008,19,23,25,28,31,42,50,57 and 60 for the year 2009, 1,2,5,8,10,11,19,20,21,23,24 and 25 for the year 2010”.
On the Motion moved by Malik Muhammad Abbas Raan, the House granted extension up to one month to Standing Committee on Irrigation and Power for laying its report on “The Punjab Irrigation and Drainage Authority (Amendment) Bill 2008 (Bill No. 16 of 2008)” private bill moved by Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari, MPA (PP-245).
On the Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari, the House granted extension up to one year to Public Accounts Committee No.1 for laying its reports of Auditor General of the Pakistan on “Punjab Government Expenditures for the year 2000-01, 2002-03 and 2004-05”and on the other motion moved by him, the House granted extension up to one month to Special Committee for laying its reports on “The amendment in the Punjab Prohibition of Private Money Lending Act 2007 (VI of 2007)”.
Privilege Motion:
Two Privilege Motions were taken up. Motion moved by Rana Muhammad Arshad regarding misbehavior of Mr. Shoaib, DSP, Shahkot was kept pending till Monday and other motion moved by Ch. Muhammad Awais Aslam Madhana regarding misbehavior of Awais Gujjar, SHO, Midh Ranjha was kept pending till next week.
The House was then adjourned till 3:00 pm on Monday, October 11, 2010.
