to move that the message of the Governor in respect of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab Privileges (Amendment) Bill 2008, as passed by the Assembly on 28th February 2012, be taken into consideration at once.
to move that the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab Privileges (Amendment) Bill 2008, as originally passed by the Assembly and returned by the Governor under Article 116(2)(b) of the Constitution, be reconsidered by the Assembly in the light of the message of the Governor.
to move that the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab Privileges (Amendment) Bill 2008, as originally passed by the Assembly, be passed again. |

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
At this stage, the House welcomed Malik Rasheed Ahmed Khan, Member National Assembly.

Questions relating to Health Department were asked and answered by Dr. Saeed Elahi, Parliamentary Secretary for Health.
Leave of absence:-
Secretary Provincial Assembly of the Punjab Mr. Maqsood Ahmad Malik read out the leave applications of the following members and the House granted them leave.
Mian Muhammad Rafique (PP-90), Mian Atta Muhammad Khan Maneka, (PP-227), Major (R) Abdul Rehman Rana (PP-53), Malik Iftikhar Ahmed (PP-10), Mr. Shahan Malik (PP-15), Ch Shahid Anjum (PP-284), Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan (PP-66).
Adjournment Motions:-
Six Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Sardar Khalid Saleem Bhatti regarding illegal and without merit appointment of the Principal Divisional Public School who is overage and non-Muslim and the School being run under the direct control of DCO in PP-233 Vehari is protecting the lady Principal, which has resulted in strong resentment among public, and the five Motions moved by Shiekh Allud Din, one regarding closure of 6200 schools in the Punjab which were catering children from poor families and living in the backward areas and 248000/- students were studying there, the Motion regarding heavy load of traffic at Jail road Lahore due to presence of educational institutions, private hospitals, and fast food restaurants, hence causing problems for the patients admitted in Services hospital and Punjab Institute of Cardiology and their relatives and the only solution is to construct slip roads along with these educational institutions for the pick and drop of students, the Motion regarding collection of fines on challans and return of documents relating to vehicles has become very complicated and painful procedure due to which general public is facing number of problems and need to be made fool proof and payments should be collected in the same way as the utility bills are collected through Mobile phones, the Motion regarding allegations against Mr Jamat Ali Shah Chief of Indus Basim Project who left the country immediately after his retirement and who played dubious role over the Indian water terrorism because India was building dams on Pakistan waters during his tenure, and the last Motion regarding kidnapping of innocent women and girls in the Punjab by professional criminals and later their sale and purchase and smuggling to the foreign countries and slow recovery rate of these abductees were kept pending till Friday 20 July 2012.
The Motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

The Motion of Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema regarding the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab Privileges (Amendment) Bill 2008 (Bill No. 15 of 2008) was disposed of as mover was not present.
Resolution:
Through a Resolution Mrs Najmi Saleem, proposed naming of an Airbase after the late hero of defence of Pakistan, Group Captain (Retd) Cecil Chaudhary to pay tribute to his Services for the Country. Rana Sanaullah Khan Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs told the House that a copy of this Resolution had already been sent to the Air Head Quarters and the authorities concerned would take a decision in this regard at an appropriate time.
