            A MINISTER to introduce Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Engineering and Technology Multan Bill 2014.

2.   THE PUNJAB INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS (AMENDMENT) BILL 2014

            A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Industrial Relations (Amendment) Bill 2014.

3.   THE PUNJAB REPRODUCTIVE, MATERNAL, NEO-NATAL AND CHILD HEALTH AUTHORITY BILL 2014

            A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Reproductive, Maternal, Neo-natal and Child Health Authority Bill 2014.

(b) CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF BILLS

1.   THE PUNJAB DEVELOPMENT OF CITIES (AMENDMENT) BILL 2014 (Bill No. 01 of 2014)

            RESUMPTION OF CLAUSE-BY-CLAUSE consideration (from Clause 10) of the Punjab Development of Cities (Amendment) Bill 2014.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Development of Cities (Amendment) Bill 2014, be passed.

2.   THE LAHORE GARRISON UNIVERSITY BILL 2014 (Bill No. 02 of 2014)

            A MINISTER to move that the Lahore Garrison University Bill 2014, as recommended by Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Lahore Garrison University Bill 2014, be passed.

 

3.   THE PUNJAB PAYMENT OF WAGES (AMENDMENT) BILL 2013 (Bill No. 11 of 2013)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Payment of Wages (Amendment) Bill 2013, as recommended by Special Committee No.1, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Payment of Wages (Amendment) Bill 2013, be passed.

Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour:−

Questions relating to the Irrigation Department were asked and Mian Yawar Zaman, Minister for Irrigation answered the questions.

Privilege Motion:-

Only one Privilege Motion was taken up, which was moved by Mr. Najeeb Ullah Khan Niazi regarding misbehavior of Mr. Gull Noor, DFO, Bhakkar, with the Member concerned was kept pending till next week.

The Motion was answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motions:-

Thirteen Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Mrs. Saadia Sohail Rana regarding news-item about selling of dead meat in Lahore, Two Motions moved by Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema, one regarding news-item about rejecting feasibility reports on the provision of providing medicines to the veterinary hospitals due to lack of funds by the Livestock Department for Sargodha district and other regarding news-item about shortage of medicines at 51 Basic Health Units (BHUs) of Sargodha District, due to utilization  of budget  before completion of third quarter of the year were disposed of. Two Motions moved by Ahmad Shah Khagga, one regarding a television report about not giving plots to the allottees of “Eden Land Ferozpur Road Scheme”, a housing project by the owner of Eden Housing Scheme and Motion regarding news-item about shortage of graves in the graveyards of suburbs of Chauburji and Yateemkhana residential areas, three Motions were moved by Ms. Shunila Ruth, one regarding news-item about shortage of medicines at BHUs and RHUs in Lahore, second Motion regarding news-item about failure in shifting of 267 factories, which were declared “dangerous” outside of city and her last Motion regarding news-item about non operation x-ray machines  at various hospitals of Lahore, two Motions were moved by Mrs. Nighat Sheikh, one regarding news-item about lack of latest equipment for fire fighting at Fire Brigade Department and other Motion regarding news-item about construction of plaza at the Mall Road without prior permission of the Chief Secretary, Punjab, the Motion of Sardar Vickas Hassan Mokal regarding news-item about construction of illegal bus stand at the land of Auqaf Department, Sargodha Zone, Motion moved by Sheikh Ala-ud-Din regarding planning for shifting of fruit and vegetable market located between Ravi Road and Badami Bagh, Lahore were kept pending till next week and last Motion of Dr. Murad Rass regarding news-item about corruption in the project of computerized number plates by the Project Director, Mr. Faisal Qurashi, Excise and Taxation Department, was kept pending till tomorrow.

The Motions were answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Call Attention Notices:-

Three Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Notice of Mian Manazir Hussain Ranjha regarding dacoity of Rs. 40,000/-, three licensed weapons and mobile phone from Sultan Ranjha at Bhabra, Kot Momin Road, District Sargodha, the Notice of Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed regarding news-item about assassination of eight persons of the same family at Johar Town, Lahore and last Notice of Mrs. Faiza Ahmad Malik regarding news-item about kidnapping and killing of six year old boy for ransom money at Lala Musa, Gujrat were disposed of.

The Notices were answered by Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

At this stage, Khawaja Salman Rafiq, Advisor to Chief Minister on Health said that he held dialogue with nurses on strike after that majority of them had called off their strike. He stated that nurses were working on ad-hoc basis but now they were further demanding for the regularization of their services. He said that nurses could only be regularized through Punjab Public Service Commission and the Government had not terminated the services of any nurse and those who would qualify the PPSC examination would be confirmed.
