1.   THE PUNJAB PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP BILL 2014 (Bill No. 05 of 2014)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Public Private Partnership Bill 2014, as recommended by Standing Committee on Planning and Development, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Public Private Partnership Bill 2014, be passed.

2.   MUHAMMAD NAWAZ SHARIF UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY MULTAN BILL 2014 (Bill No. 10 of 2014)

            A MINISTER to move that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering and Technology Multan Bill 2014, as recommended by Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering and Technology Multan Bill 2014, be passed.

3.   THE PUNJAB MENTAL HEALTH (AMENDMENT) BILL 2014 (Bill No. 13 of 2014)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Mental Health (Amendment) Bill 2014, as recommended by Standing Committee on Health, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Mental Health (Amendment) Bill 2014, be passed.

 

4.   THE PUNJAB INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS (AMENDMENT) BILL 2014 (Bill No. 11 of 2014)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Industrial Relations (Amendment) Bill 2014, as recommended by Standing Committee on Labour and Human Resource, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Industrial Relations (Amendment) Bill 2014, be passed.

Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Questions relating to Health Department were asked and answered by Khawaja Imran Nazeer, Parliamentary Secretary for Health.

Adjournment Motions:-

Thirteen Adjournment Motions were taken up. The motion moved by Ms. Shunila Ruth regarding shambolic living conditions of majority of female prisoners imprisoned in different jails of Punjab and sufficient steps have not been taken for their improvement, the motion moved by  Malik Mazhar Abbas Raan regarding rupture of road  in PP-201 of District Multan due to transportation of heavy vehicles and machinery by the contractor to whom contract to construct Multan, Faisalabad Motorway section has been signed by NHA and under the agreement maintenance of this road is the duty of the contractor, two motions moved by Sheikh Ala-ud-Din one regarding incompetence of Motorway Police deputed at Lahore Multan National Highway, due to which this Highway has become one of the dangerous roads in the world, the second motion regarding illegal possession and transfer of 4300 acres of Land of “Bhratri Trust” located in Layyah by the Qabza group, the motion moved by Ms Faiza Ahmad Malik regarding discontinuity in the provision of Zakat fund by Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal to different hospitals of Punjab and the motion moved by Ms Nabela Hakim Ali Khan  regarding dilapidated condition of Noor Jahan Tomb, and no action/steps have been taken by the Government of Punjab for its renovation were kept pending till next week. The motion moved by Ms Shunila Ruth regarding sale of meat of sick and underage animals in Tollinton Market and abundance of encroachments constructed there, is disturbing the business of people, the motion moved by Sardar Vickas Hassan Mokal regarding shortage of Audiologists (a specialist who treats children suffering from hearing problem) and hearing screening tests, (for deducting hear loss) at different hospitals of the Punjab, the motion moved by Syed Tariq Yaqoob Rizvi regarding violation of law by a distillery established with Colony Sugar Mills located at Karman wala Tehsil Phalia District Mandi Baha-ud-Din which is the throwing its waste in the adjacent drain (Nullah) resulting in the extinction of water life and spread of pollution in the attached villages, the Motion moved by Mr. Mannan Khan regarding dilapidated condition of Narowal-Muridke Road due to which it is difficult to give safe transportation to the patients and there is increase in the number of docaity incidents on the said road, the motion moved by Malik Taimoor Masood regarding sale of substandard and foreign seed in the open market due to negligence of Seed Corporation, which is bringing great damage to crops and financial damage to the farmers, the motion moved by Ms Nighat Sheikh regarding illegal possession of stateland by Qabza group in different cities of Punjab and the motion moved by Ms Raheela Anwar regarding over charging of fares in Lahore by the public transporters were disposed of.

The Motions were answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Government Business

Consideration and Passage of Bill:-

Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs moved the following Bills which were considered and passed by the House.

1.   THE PUNJAB PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP BILL 2014 (Bill No. 05 of 2014);
