            A MINISTER to introduce the Parks and Horticulture Authority (Amendment) Bill 2014.

(ii)     LAYING OF ORDINANCE

      THE PAKISTAN KIDNEY AND LIVER INSTITUTE AND RESEARCH CENTER ORDINANCE 2014

            A MINISTER to lay the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Center Ordinance 2014.

(Started at 15:45 pm) 

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour

Questions relating to Energy and Mines & Minerals Departments were asked and Mr. Sher Ali Khan, Minister for Mines & Minerals answered the questions.

Call Attention Notices                                  

Two Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Notice of Mrs. Faiza Ahmad Malik regarding assassination of a businessman by dacoits at resistance at Urdu Bazar, Lahore and the other Notice of Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema regarding killing of Mr. Abdul Hameed a businessman and injuring three other persons by a motorcyclist at Hyderabad Town, Sargodha were kept pending till Thursday as Minister for Home was not present.

Privilege Motions

Two Privilege Motions were taken up. The Motion of  Mian Naveed Ali regarding misbehaviour of Mr Javaid Akhtar Mehmood, DCO Pakpattan with the member concerned as proven by the inquiry held by DPO  was kept pending and the other Motion of Mian Tariq Mehmood regarding utterance of baseless and derogatory remarks by TMA and other officers Kharian against the Member concerned and accusing him of interference in the administrative matters was referred to the Committee on Privileges.

The Motions were answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motions

Four Adjournment Motions were taken up. Three Adjournment Motions of Sheikh Ala-ud-Din were taken , one regarding transfer of 4300 acres land of Bhratri Trust a Hindu Property in Layyah in the name of Evacuee Trust Property Board and later seized by “Qabza group” through claims of inheritance and the second  Motion regarding evasion of taxes by wedding hall owners in Punjab because no government department has record of their earnings and it is example of undocumented economy, therefore, premises usage and catering in these hotels should be treated separately were disposed of, The third Motion regarding Lahore being declared the 10th most polluted city of the world by WHO and one of the reasons of its pollution is installation of coal power plant in Indian Punjab and the Motion of Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema regarding forced use of banned medicines among sports women of Punjab University, which were creating serious genetic and ancillary medical problems were kept pending.     

The Motions were answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS

Introduction of Bill

Malik Nadeem Kamran, Minister for Zakat & Ushr introduced “THE PARKS AND HORTICULTURE AUTHORITY (AMENDMENT) BILL 2014”, which was referred to the Standing Committee on Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering with the direction to submit its report within two months.

Laying of Ordinance

Malik Nadeem Kamran, Minister for Zakat & Ushr introduced THE PAKISTAN KIDNEY AND LIVER INSTITUTE AND RESEARCH CENTER ORDINANCE 2014”, which was referred to the Standing Committee on Health with the direction to submit its report within two months.

The House was then adjourned till 10:00 a.m on Tuesday, 9th December, 2014.
