Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Question Hour
Questions relating to Food and Industry, Commerce & Investment Departments were asked and Mr Bilal Yasin, Minister for Food and Ch Muhammad Shafique, Minister for Industry, Commerce & Investment answered the questions.
Privilege Motions
Two Privilege Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Malik Muhammad Nawaz regarding his insult by Malik Awais, S.P, Madina Town Faisalabad, who released a proclaimed offender naming Tauseef Usman even on the request of concerned Member not to let him escape was kept pending as mover was not present, the second Motion moved by Ms. Sobia Anwar Satti regarding misbehavior of Quratulain Fatima, District Planning Officer, Rawalpindi with the member concerned was referred to the Committee on Privileges with the direction to submit its report within two months.
The Motions were answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Adjournment Motion
The Motion moved by Ch Aamir Sultan Cheema regarding corruption of Rs.10.24 million by Dr. Tanveer Ex-DG, Health and other officers of Health Department allocated by UNICEF to take steps to monitor spread of measles and to take preventive measures was kept pending till Monday.
The Motion was answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
At this stage, the quorum was pointed out and the House was adjourned till Monday February 16th, 2015 at 3:00 pm.
