Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Adjournment Motions:-

Three Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Mr Amjad Ali Javed regarding illegal possession, demolition and later selling building material worth millions of rupees of PA house located at Mari Pachadh by Shahid Hussain Gorchani and Firdous Khan (Jamadar and Dafadar BMP) respectively, this building was constructed almost 20-year back by the then Chairman Zila Council to accommodate and provide safety to the Security Staff posted in the area and now this building is in personal use of Jamadar and Dafadar and no action has yet been initiated even after the registration of complaint by local public of the area against them and the Motion moved by Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed regarding publication of maps of Sarakistan and Hazara province in the 8th standard text book of Geography by Punjab Text Book Board without obtaining permission form the relevant authority and Kashmir is stated to be a disputed territory thus violating the Constitution of Pakistan and demanded stern action against the culprits, were kept pending. The Motion moved by Mr Ehsan Riaz Fatyana regarding a mega sewerage scheme constructed worth almost three and a half billion rupees at Rahim Yar Khan city has become flop and roads of posh areas have become pools of water, for this matter inquiry was held by CMIT but its report has not yet been made public, was disposed of.

The Motions were answered by Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs and Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

 

Voting on Supplementary Demands for Grants 2014-2015:-

The treasury presented 40 Supplementary Demands for Grants for different departments for the year 2014-15. The Opposition submitted four cut Motions against the funds allocated for Loans to Municipalities / Autonomous Bodies etc., General Administration, Roads and Bridges. Dr. Aisha Ghaus Pasha, Minister for Finance moved Supplementary Demands for grants in respect of Loans to Municipalities / Autonomous Bodies etc. and Roads and Bridges for the fiscal year 2014-15 before the House for discussion which were opposed by Opposition members and they moved the cut Motions, which were rejected with majority by the House.

Laying of the Supplementary Schedule of Authorized Expenditure for the Year 2014-15.

Dr. Aisha Ghaus Pasha, Minister for Finance laid the Supplementary Schedule of Authorized Expenditure for the year 2014-15.

Suspension of Rules:-

On a motion moved by Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal under Rule 234 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, the House granted leave to suspend Rule 115 and others of the Rules ibid, for taking up the following Resolution.

Resolution:-

Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal moved the resolution on the recent report by BBC against MQM for receiving funds and training from Indian Intelligence Agency RAW and demanded the Federal Government for the trial of MQM supremo Altaf Hussain and his accomplices under Article 6 for treachery if the claims levelled against the party as asserted in the said BBC documentary report are proven to be true and also demanded to constitute a high-level commission to investigate the claims against the party, was unanimously passed by the House.

لہذا یہ ایوان وفاقی حکومت سے مطالبہ کرتا ہے کہ اعلیٰ سطحی تحقیقاتی کمیشن قائم کیا جائے اور اگر الزامات سچ ثابت ہوں تو آرٹیکل (6) کے تحت الطاف حسین اور انکے ساتھیوں کا ٹرائل کیا جائے۔"
