Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Question Hour
Questions relating to Agriculture, Labour & Human Resource and Population Welfare Departments were on the agenda. The questions relating to Population Welfare were kept pending on the request of the concerned Minister while Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, Minister for Labour & Human Resource answered the questions.
Fateha
The House offered Fateha for Motiur Rahman Nizami, former Head of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Bangladesh.
Adjournment Motion
Adjournment Motion moved by Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal regarding newspaper report about non-availability of clean drinking water to people of Lahore as well as of Province due to installation of substandard filtration plants was kept pending till next week.
The answer was given by the concerned Minister/Parliamentary Secretary.

Laying of Ordinance
Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs laid “THE PUNJAB AGRICULTURE, FOOD AND DRUG AUTHORITY ORDINANCE 2016”, before the House which was referred to the Standing Committee on Services & General Administration Department for its report within two months.
Introduction of Bill
Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs laid “THE PUNJAB LOCAL GOVERNMENT (FOURTH AMENDMENT) BILL 2016”, before the House which was referred to the Standing Committee on Local Government & Rural Development for its report within two months.
Zero Hour
Ch. Amjad Ali Javaid raised the matter of overcharging of parking fees from students and outsiders by the Fridia Post Graduate College, Pakpattan which was kept pending till tomorrow.
Suspension of Rules
On a motion moved by Dr. Syed Waseem Akhtar under Rule 234 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, the House granted leave to suspend Rule 115 and others of the Rules ibid, for taking up the following Resolution.
Resolution
The Resolution of Dr. Syed Waseem Akhtar regarding condemning Bangladeshi Government for execution of a former Head of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Bangladesh, Motiur Rahman Nizami was unanimously passed by the House.
The House was then adjourned till Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 10:00 am.
