Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Question Hour
Questions relating to Home Department were asked and Mahar Ijaz Ahmad Achlana, Parliamentary Secretary for Home answered the questions.
Adjournment Motions
Two Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Dr. Syed Waseem Akhtar regarding newspaper report about non-provision of free medicines to the patients by the Social Welfare Department hospitals was kept pending till next week and the second Motion moved by Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed about newspaper report regarding survey conducted by an NGO, Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN), about corruption in the Punjab was admitted for discussion on next Wednesday in the House after taking up official business.
The answers were given by the concerned Ministers/Parliamentary Secretaries.
