Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool ﷺ.
Government Business
Dr. Aisha Ghaus Pasha, Minister for Finance moved “THE PUNJAB FINANCE BILL 2017 (Bill No.16 of 2017)”, which was passed by the House as amended.
At this stage, the quorum was pointed out at 12:54 p.m. After ringing bells for five minutes, the quorum was complete and the proceedings of the House commenced.
LAYING OF THE SCHEDULE OF AUTHORIZED EXPENDITURE
Minister for Finance laid before the House “THE SCHEDULE OF AUTHORIZED EXPENDITURE FOR THE YEAR 2017-2018”.
Introduction of Bills
Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs introduced the following Bills which were referred to the concerned Standing Committees with the direction to submit its reports within two months:
1. The Punjab Destitute and Neglected Children (Amendment) Bill 2017
2. The Punjab Education Standards Development Authority Bill 2017
At this stage, Acting Speaker announced that the Members who would like to participate in the general discussion on Supplementary Budget 2016-17 on Wednesday would give their names to the Secretary Assembly.
