Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool ﷺ.
Question Hour
Questions relating to Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department were asked and Mr. Hassaan Riaz, Parliamentary Secretary for Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education answered the questions.
Privilege Motions
Two Privilege Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Ch. Irshad Ahmad Arain regarding misbehavior of Mr. Akmal Rasool, DSP, Mailsi with the member concerned and the second Motion of Malik Mazhar Abbas Raan regarding misbehavior of Mr. Abdul Raheem, DSP, Tehsil Yazman, District Bahawalpur with the member concerned were referred to the Committee on Privileges.
The Motions were replied by Mr. Khalil Tahir Sandhu, Minister for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs.
Adjournment Motion
The Adjournment Motion moved by Ms. Hina Pervez Butt regarding inability of Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department to deliver Hepatitis C medicines at the residences of 90 thousands patients through courier service even after the lapse of six months and entering into a contract with courier company, was kept pending till next week.
