SUMMARY OF PROCEEDINGS
Ch Muhammad Afzal Sahi, Speaker, assumed the chair and proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran.
The House offered Fateha for victims of bomb blast in Karachi.
QUESTION HOUR:-
Questions relating to Education Department were asked and answered by Ch Nazar Hussain Gondal , Parliamentary Secretary for Education.
At this stage Sardar Shukat Hussain Mazari, Deputy Speaker, assumed the chair.
PRVILLEGE MOTIONS:-
The Privilege Motion moved by Mr Muhammad Iqbal Rais regarding contemptuous behaviour of Registrar cooperative Societies Punjab towards him, was admitted and referred to Privilege Committee.
ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS:-
Following Adjournment Motions were called during the Sitting of the House:-
(a) Adjournment Motion of Hajji Muhammad Ijaz, Arshad Mahmood Baguu and Lala Shakil-ul- Rehman (604/05), regarding privatization of Central Model School Lower Mall Lahore, was answered by Ch Nazar Hussain Gondal, Parliamentary Secretary for Education who clarified that only a proposal to give the School an autonomous status was under consideration.
(b) The Adjournment Motion of Mr Sami Ullah Khan, Mrs. Uzma Zahid Bokhari and Mrs Fayyza Ahmad (606/05) regarding defective construction of Garhi Shahu overhead bridge was disposed of after reply by the Minister for Communication and Works.
GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-
(a) Introduction of Bill:
Following Bill was introduced by the Minister for Health Dr. Tahir Ali Javaid under Rule 91(5) of Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 and was referred to Standing Committee on Health, for report within one month;

(b) GENERAL DISCUSSION ON HEALTH:-
General Discussion on Health was held which was initiated by Minister for Health Dr.Tahir Javaid. However, at this stage, the sitting was suspended for lack of quorum and then adjourned till 10.00 am on Thursday, 17 November 2005.
