RESUMPTION OF DISCUSSION ON EARTHQUAKE
Summary of Proceedings
Sardar Shaukat Hussain Mazari, Deputy Speaker, assumed the chair and proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran.

Questions relating to Health department were asked and answered by Dr Farzana Nazir, Parliamentary Secretary for Health.
CALL ATTENTION NOTICES
The first call attention notice was moved by Haji Muhammad Ijaz regarding recovery of a dead body of 22 years old boy from a bag in Nawab Pura (Herbans Pura) Lahore and action taken thereon by the government. The notice was disposed of after reply by Mr Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law.
The second call attention notice was from Lala Shakeel-ur-Rehman and Ch. Zahid Pervaiz, regarding recovery of the dead body of Mst Rasheeda, a resident of Asad Colony Gujranwala and the action Government proposed to take against the police staff who had failed to arrest the accused. The notice was moved by Ch Zahid Pervaiz and was disposed of after the reply of the Minister for Law.
PRIVILEGE MOTIONS
Two privilege motions were taken up. The first privilege motion No.56 was moved by Syed Muhammad Rafi-ud-Din Bokhari, MPA regarding misbehavior shown by Dr Pervaiz Abbass, Joint Registrar (Admn), Cooperatives Department. The motion was not opposed and was referred to the Committee on Privileges for report.
The second motion No.59 was from Babu Nafees Ahmad Ansari, MPA, who had moved this motion on 15 November and was pended for reply by the Government. When the motion was taken up for reply, the Minister for Law did not oppose it and the Chair referred it to the Privilege Committee for report. The motion was regarding contemptuous behavior shown by Mst Shahida (DSP traffic) to the mover.
ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS
A total of eight adjournment motions were taken up and all of them were from Mrs Farzana Raja, MPA. The first six Adjournment Motions (Nos. 593, 597, 664, 666, 667 and 668) were disposed of as the mover was not present. Thereafter the mover joined the proceedings and moved her next Adjournment Motion No. 669 which was pending since 15-11-2005. The motion was about gang rape of Mst Bushra, a resident of Sialkot by influential persons and undue pressure being exerted by the police on the victim for compromise with the criminals.
The next Adjournment Motion No.670, which was also pending since 15 November 2005 by the same mover was then moved. The motion was about installation of patrol pump on green belt of government land on Ferozpur Road Lahore adjacent to Gaddafi Stadium worth billions of rupees in violation of government rules. The motion was replied by Mr Manazir Hussain Ranjha, Minister for Colonies and was disposed of after extensive debate by several members including Minister for Environment, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Secretary for Parliamentary Affairs.

RESUMPTION OF DISCUSSION ON EARTHQUAKE
The general discussion on earthquake, which had started on 18 November 2005, was resumed. The following participated:-
