      THE PROVINCIAL MOTOR VEHICLES (AMENDMENT) BILL 2005 (Bill No.26 of 2005)

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2005, as recommended by Standing Committee on Transport, be taken into consideration at once.

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2005 be passed.

Sardar Shaukat Hussain Mazari, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran.

QUESTION HOUR:-

Questions relating to Agriculture Department were asked and answers were given by Mr. Muhammad Arshad Khan Lodhi, Minister for Agriculture. First, Miss Misbah Kokab, Advocate and then Rai Ijaz Ahmad assumed the Chair during Question hour.

ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS:-

A total of 2 Adjournment Motions were taken up.

Haji Muhamamd Ejaz moved Adjournment Motion regarding prevailing law & order situation in Lahore city resulting in increased number of dacoities and killings. The motion was replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs and was disposed of.

Another Adjournment Motion, also moved by Haji Muhammad Ejaz regarding rape of a minor girl in Manga Pind Lahore, was answered by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs and was disposed of.

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-

 

Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved that “The Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2005 (Bill No. 26 of 2005)”, be taken into consideration at once. The motion was opposed and further proceedings on the Bill was deferred to the next meeting.

The House was then adjourned till 3.00 pm on Monday, 20 March 2006.
