Ch. Muhammad Afzal Sahi, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran.
PRIVILEGE MOTIONS:-
Total two Privilege Motions were called. The Privilege Motion of Mst. Shahina Asad was disposed of due to her absence. The Privilege Motion moved by Sardar Muhammad Amanullah Khan Dreshak, regarding misconduct of E.D.O. (Education) Rajanpur and P.S. to Minister for Education with the mover, was pended till 24-6-2006 on the request of Mian Imran Masood, Minister for Education.
ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS:-
Total nine Adjournment Motions were taken up. Out of which Adjournment Motions moved by Ch. Asghar Ali Gujjar, Mst. Uzma Zahid Bokhari, Mst. Farzana Raja and Sheikh Ijaz Ahmad (out of turn) were kept pending till 27-6-2006. While Adjournment Motion of Mst. Nighat Parveen Mir was disposed of due to her absence.
Adjournment Motion moved by Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas was about the incident of a gang rape and dacoity in Chak No. 363, Satyana,
Another Adjournment Motion moved by Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas regarding molestation of 2 girls aged 10 year and 7 year by two influential land lords at Klor Kot was replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and was disposed of.
Adjournment Motion moved by Syeda Uzma Zahid Bokhari was about discovery of a dead body of unknown young man at Baba Farid Colony Kot Lakhpat,
Adjournment Motion moved by Farzana Raja was about running of maternity clinics by non qualified lady health visitors and mid wives at different parts of
MOTIONS FOR EXTENSION IN TIME:-
On a motion moved by Dr. Muzaffar Ali Sheikh, the House granted extension in the time limit up to 31 July 2006 for laying the report of the Standing Committee for Health on the Adjournment Motion No.801/05 moved by Rana Sana Ullah Khan.
On a motion moved by Ch. Muhammad Saqlain, the House granted extension in the time limit up to 31 July, 2006 for laying the report of the Standing Committee for Finance on the Resolution No. 203 moved by Syeda Sughra Imam.
FATEHA:-
The House offered Fateha for deceased Ghulam Farid Chishti, Ex Member of Punjab Assembly.
GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-
DISCUSSION AND VOTING ON DEMANDS FOR GRANTS (2006-07):-
The House passed 42 Demands for Grants included in the Punjab Annual Budget 2006-07.
The House was then adjourned till 9.00 a.m, on Friday, 23 June, 2006.
