Ch. Muhammad Afzal Sahi, Speaker, assumed the chair and proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran.
POINT OF ORDER:-
On a point of order, the leader of opposition, Qasim Zia, spoke on the arrest of political workers and the Minister for Law, Muhammad Basharat Raja, explained the view point of the government on the subject. Mr. Speaker said that the points of order were not valid.
PRESENTATION OF ANNUAL BUDGET STATEMENT FOR THE YEAR 2007-08:-
On invitation by the Chair, Sardar Hasnain Bahadar Dareshak, Minister for Finance delivered his budget speech and presented the Annual Budget Statement for the Year 2007-08.
PRESENTATION OF THE SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET STATEMENT FOR THE YEAR 2006-07:-
The Minister for Finance presented the Supplementary Budget Statement for the year 2006-07.
EXCESS BUDGET STATEMENT FOR THE YEAR 2000-2001:-
The Minister for Finance presented the Excess Budget Statement for the year 2000-2001.
INTRODUCTION OF THE PUNJAB FINANCE BILL:-
The Minister for Finance introduced the Punjab Finance Bill, 2007.
