Engineer Imran Ashraf son of Mr Muhammad Ashraf was born on April 2, 1963 at Sialkot. He got his education from FG Public School Sialkot Cantt and then from Government Murray College Sialkot. In 1988, he graduated in Industrial Engineering from Hofstra University, New York, USA. He belongs to a renowned business family of Sialkot engaged in the manufacturing of surgical instruments. He has served as Member Executive Committee, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce, Member Board Shahabpura Development Committee, Government of the Punjab, Board Member TEVTA, District Sialkot and Narowal, Government of the Punjab, Deputy Chief Warden, Civil Defence Sialkot, Vice President, Sialkot Lions Club, Chairman Management Committee, Quaid-e-Azam Public School for Labour Sialkot, Government of the Punjab; and President, District Cricket Association Sialkot. He remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07 and has returned to Punjab Assembly for the second consecutive term in general elections 2008. He has extensively travelled abroad.
